More people than ever work for themselves

Britain is awash with entrepreneurial spirit as 5.5m Brits plan to launch their business idea within the next six months.

More than eight in 10 Brits (82%) have had an idea for a new business in the past year, according to research from online print and design company MOO.

But with so many apparently wanting to throw off the shackles of today’s workaday world and become their own boss, Upstart takes a look at the real picture for the self-employed in the UK.
